Top 25 Tactics For Game Play
|
-
Find a good place to hide (stand or squat but never lie down)
Always be near / behind cover yet able to move if you need to.
- Use
shadows or the shade if possible and don't move around unnecessarily.
Wear earth tone/faded colors.
- Interestingly
enough, black is bad because it contrasts. NEON colors are bad!
- The
eye is attracted to movement, shapes, color/light and contrasts.
- Look
around objects, not over them e.g. trees, rocks, bushes.
- Look
with your eyes, make sure no to stick your gun or other body
parts out from behind objects. Since gun hits count and you
could get taken out by those types of shots.
- Be
patient and wait until they get close enough for a high percentage
shot.
- Surprise
is your greatest asset. The guns you will be using are semi-autos
so they fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. If you get
the first shots off you'll probably hit the target if it is
within 15-35 feet.
- If
nothing is happening in your area move forward. If there is
only a few minutes left in the round. Time to be aggressive!
Be patient yet, don't "camp" the whole game, that's
no fun for everyone else!
- Avoid
head to head conflicts. Try to outflank the other team. Triangulate
them with your team mates!
- Try
to set up a crossfire. That means to shoot sideways across the
field at targets. People tend to get too "forward focused",
again triangulate them with your team mates!
- People
also get "target fixated", too much focus on one thing
or person ignoring the fact that they are being outflanked or
that there are excellent alternative targets to the right or
left. Also, it is common for your opposition to travel in groups
or pairs so if you see one chances are the buddies aren't far
away.
- Keep
your head. Composure wins 90% of all games played.
- If
the odds are overwhelming, retreat to a safe position, regroup
and either defend your position or counter attack. Don't
pick a position that you can't retreat from quickly if needed.
- Don't
waste all of your ammo in the first few minutes on low percentage
shots! Chances are that you give your position away rather than
score a hit on an opposing team player.
- Work
with your teammates, communicate, call for help if needed.
- ALWAYS
KEEP YOUR GOGGLES ON! Only remove them when you are in the safety
area or when the ref calls "All clear" to remove your
goggles.
- Don't
shoot your teammates after all they are the people who you need
to count on to watch your back! Only aim your marker at the
opposing team players while in a round.
- Take
turns going on offense and staying back to defend so you can
get the experience of different types of play!
- Never
shoot at pointblank range (within 5 feet). Ask them to surrender
first and only shoot if they won't also remembering that they
DON'T have to surrender so be ready to shoot if they make an
aggressive move. (Only shoot 1 or 2 times if possible)
- Stay
low, crouch when you move. Try to move quietly. Don't talk until
you're under fire.
- HAVE
FUN, ITS ONLY A GAME AND REMEMBER THAT YOU'LL GET BETTER AS
THE DAY PROGRESSES!
- Wear
firm soled shoes with a good tread grip. Running shoes are fine
so long as they have a waffle tread pattern for traction.
- You
can bring food or call to see if we have lunch that day, The
Snack Shack is always available.
- MOST
Importantly, always refer to RULE 22!!!
